Getting Healthy



Here are the key components to being healthy: Eat right Exercise Manage your stress Get good rest Get your spine checked

Eating right encompasses good food but also what not to eat. Exercise means getting some form. Meaning get up off the couch - marching in place, lifting weights, trying to walk etc. Managing your stress mean trying to take it easy, make a good thing out of a bad thing, smiling more... Why Is The Neck Roll So Important?



One of the biggest Neck misalignments out there is loss of the cervical curve. If you have a straight curvature, otherwise known as a military neck. Then there is a reversed curve or kyphotic neck. This is where the spine goes in the opposite direction.

A kyphotic area like the thoracic or dorsal spine is a curve that opens towards the front of our body. A lordosis or a lordotic curve opens (the neck or low back) towards our posterior or towards our back.

The body is made like this to keep our spines as healthy and strong as possible.

How important Is It I Have A neck Roll?

It is very important your pillow has a neck roll and gives you good support. Often if your pillow is too soft or old, it has lost its support. We need the neck roll because it keeps A "C" curve in the neck. When you have a "C" curve of the neck, the nerve fibers have no pressure. But when we lose that curvature we get pression nerves which could lead to problems. This may not just be in pain it may also mean tingling, numbness, weakness, or something else. The bottom line here is that for our bodies to work like they should we need to have the nerves free of pressure because any pressure equals a problem.
