I'm Making A Long Car Ride, What Is Best To Take?

When making a long trip, the key is to be prepared.  So besides the usual, got gas, got water... You need to make sure your back has what it needs too!

I would recommend an ice pack.  Take one of those soft coolers; you can easily put the ice pack in there.  Take a bottle of Biofreeze; that's always good to have and easy to travel with.

The main thing is to take periodic breaks, where you get up and move around.  The same thing goes when you're on a plane.  If you're having a current episode a tens unit may be good to take too.  I don't know if you should have it out on a plane...but if you're driving somewhere it's good to have.

Lastly, your car probably has a good lumbar support, but if you feel like you want more support or just a better support, bring something like a Sitback rest or slim rest along.
