"Am I Causing My Pain?"

I can't tell you how many times I've played process of elimination to get rid of someone's pain... I ask myself a few questions. Could you possibly be doing something that is causing or worsening your pain? Is it something at work, or something you are doing around the house?... What if you are constantly tilting your head to the left? Well, with no trauma this may still be starting to cause pain. You see if you do one particular posture over and over again, you body starts to take that posture or alignment permanently!

Or let's say you keep injuring your shoulder at the gym. You may be doing repetitive damage to a particular joint or muscle. What if you stop doing the possible exercise or exercises that appear to be causing a problem? This is a good ideal to try this. ... That whole process of elimination.

Every year myself or another Chiropractor will see numerous back pain sufferers. We can put the spine in alignment, take pressure of nerves, and reduce pain but what if you are constantly doing something that makes the pain return. Now I'm not talking about playing a professional sport, those guys may make a substantial living out of it and know they have to see the Chiropractor on a weekly basis, but do you? Maybe this helps but can you be avoiding something that's triggering the pain.

Don't get me wrong, you may have had a past injury, where you need regular chiropractic adjustments. But that's not my point; my point is simply that there may be things you are doing everyday that are nor helping your back or neck. Try to think of these things, and play that "process of elimination" game.
